TC Boyle gives insight to his new novel
March 19, 2009. T.C. Boyle visited Frankfurt on his tour through Germany on March 19th and sat down with Dana Rawlings of the U.S. Consulate General for an interview surrounding his newest novel, “The Women.”  The novel, which has been published by Carl Hanser Verlag in German, is based on the life of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright and how his genius was shaped and inspired by the women in his life.  The interview provided close insight as to the motivations of the writer and his personal work ethic. Boyle explained that using socially unconventional main characters was an attempt to make the audience think outside their own box.  T.C. Boyle is an acclaimed writer in America and around the world for pursuing themes and issues usually controversial during the time, including his book on immigration, “The Tortilla Curtain,” his treatment of the sexual revolution led by Alfred Kinsey in “The Inner Circle,” and his work on identity theft in “Talk Talk.” T.C. Boyle was featured in a public event later that day to a sold out crowd at the Kulturkirche St. Peter, organized by Frankurter Rundschau. | For video please click here
