Consul General Powell hosts Iftar at her residence
September 8, 2008. On the occasion of this year's Ramadan, Consul General Jo Ellen Powell hosted an interfaith dinner at her residence. The guests reflected the broad spectrum of religions and cultures living in Germany.  Among the guests were representatives from Muslim, Christian, and Jewish communities, from the City of Frankfurt, the Hessen Landtag, the Frankfurt police as well as from the Turkish and German media. The participants enjoyed lively discussions on a wide variety of topics.  Of particular interest to all were events offered during the Frankfurt Book Fair, whose guest of honor this year is Turkey.
