Vote for Me! Looking at the 2008 Presidential Elections
December 12, 2007. The presidential elections of 2008 are shaping up to be one of the most interesting races in recent memory. To try an explain how the primary process works and what may shape November’s general election, State Department Intern Josh Kennedy gave a presentation to students at the Goethe Gymnasium Frankfurt. In a ninety-minute talk on the way that the United States chooses the presidential nominees, the personalities of the candidates and the issues that the election may hinge upon, Mr. Kennedy gave the students a road map to follow the election from overseas. Mr. Kennedy's presentation was part of the Consulate's MeetUS outreach program, which provides American presenters to German schools to discuss various topics of American culture.
