September 9, 2005. Internationally renowned Jazz musicians raised money with a concert at the Frankfurt train station. Ron Ringwood, Joan Faulkner, Johnny Rogers, Deidra Jones, Myron Miller, J.C. DooKingue, Alicia Tayor and New Hope Missionary Baptist Choirs and many more performed for free. Up to several hundred listeners enjoyed the top-class concert. The Bahn AG provided the space for free. Initiators of the concert were the Frankfurt Management Consultant ConActivity und Roots GmbH & Co KG. Donations by the audience and proceeds from the sale of drinks will be forwarded to WORLD VISION, an internationally active relief organization. The money will be used in the affected areas. Vice Consul Michael Greer greeted the audience and expressed the deep gratitude of the U.S. Government for the generosity shown by Germans towards the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
