U.S. Election Campaign Fills Lecture Hall
September 2, 2008. The U.S. Consulate General joined the Frankfurt-based “Montagsgesellschaft,” the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt and AIESEC in organizing a public evening lecture on “McCain vs. Obama – The Long and Winding Road to the White House” by Georgetown University professor Stephen Wayne at Frankfurt University. Over 200 guests from all walks of life, including many young Germans, filled the university lecture hall to capacity. A well-known expert of the American presidency, Professor Wayne received a host of questions and a long round of applause for his in-depth analysis of the unprecedented dynamics of this year’s election campaign.
