U.S. Ambassador Timken with Hesse Minister President Koch

October 13, 2005. U.S. Ambassador William Robert Timken jr. paid his first formal visit to Hesse Minister President Roland Koch at the State Chancellery in Wiesbaden on October 13. The Ambassador underscored the unique nature of the German-American relationship. He thanked Minister President Koch for his ongoing support in deepening transatlantic relations. In particular, he expressed appreciation for the state government’s initiative to offer full scholarships to students from the Hurricane stricken state of Louisiana at Hesse universities.
