September 27, 2005. Consul General Peter Bodde and his wife Tanya held a reception for business contacts and friends at the Baden-Württembergische Landesbank in Stuttgart. In his welcoming remarks to leaders of the German political, economic and cultural community, among them former Stuttgart Lord Mayor Manfred Rommel and Heilbronn Lord Mayor Helmut Himmelsbach, and the U.S. military, Mr. Bodde thanked for the support coming from Baden-Württemberg and all over Germany in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He emphazised the close business and cultural contacts between Baden-Württemberg and the United States and stressed the importance of the personal dimension of the German-American partnership.
