Star columnist Paul Krugman lectures to 500 guests
May 19, 2008. The world-famous American Princeton economist and New York Times star columnist Paul Krugman lectured on "After Bush - The End of the Neo-Conservatives and the Moment for the Democrats" to over 500 guests in the jam-packed big lecture hall at the German National Library in Frankfurt. The event was jointly organized by the U.S. Consulate General, Campus Verlag and Hans-Böckler-Foundation in cooperation with the Princeton Alumni Association of Germany and the German British Society. After a critical analysis of the current American distribution of wealth and its historical and political origins as well as an assessment of the presidential elections and future perspectives, Krugman involved his large audience from government, business and culture in an extended and lively debate.
