September 22, 2005. Accompanied by his wife Tanya, Consul General Peter Bodde held a reception for business contacts and friends at a local restaurant in Kaiserslautern. In his welcoming remarks to leaders of the German political, economic and cultural community, among them Kaiserslautern Lord Mayor Bernhard Deubig, and the U.S. military, Mr. Bodde stressed his close private connection to the Kaiserslautern region and his feeling of “coming home” as well as the importance of the personal dimension of the German-American partnership. |
