During the second half of 2007, signs of hip-hop are everywhere in Frankfurt.  Multiple workshops in North Frankfurt, a photography exhibition in the Frankfurt City Library, podium discussions as well as countless other hip-hop events represent this particular form of cultural expression.  Many organizations are involved as exhibitors, promoters and supporters under the motto “Four Elements - One Culture”.  These include the United States Consulate General, the Frankfurt Youth Circle (Frankfurt Jugendring), the Youth House am Bügel (das Jugendhaus am Bügel), the Otto Hahn School as well as the Frankfurt City Library.  The goal is, to offer a forum where the Rhine-Main hip-hop community can meet American hip-hop artists in order to further develop their work.  United States Consul General Jo Ellen Powell and City Treasurer Uwe Becker are promoting, through their patronage, the significance of this globally established art form.
