October 2, 2005. On Sunday, October 2nd, more than 15000 people celebrated the 60th anniversary of the founding of the State of Hesse during a celebratory event at the I.G. Farben Building (University of Frankfurt). Former U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Holbrooke, Hesse Minister President Roland Koch, and professors Arno Lustiger and Claus Leggewie discussed the state of German-American relations. Public Affairs Frankfurt's Information Resource Center presented information on the United States at special information table. Participants picked up Mission Germany's "About the USA"-CD-ROM, paper flags and IIP broschures such as “Muslim Life in America”, “Tsunami”, “Outline of U.S. Government” and “Marshall-Plan.”
