September 8, 2005. As part of the series “America Meets Frankfurt - 60 Years of American Culture in Frankfurt”, Amerika Haus Frankfurt and Hessischer Rundfunk co-hosted two evening showings on September 8th and 9th of post-WWII U.S. films from the 1940s and 1950s at the German Film Museum in Frankfurt. The films documented the atrocities of the Nazi regime and the efforts of the Allied Forces to demonstrate and teach democratic values to the German population through short films.
