August 30, 2005. The U.S. Ambassador-designate to Germany, William R. Timken, Jr., the U.S. State Department's Director of Overseas Buildings Operations, Major General (retired) Charles E. Williams, and Consul General Peter W. Bodde cut the ribbon at a Dedication Ceremony for the New American Consulate General Building in Frankfurt on August 30, 2005. The official opening ceremony of the new U.S. Consulate General will take place after the completion of its move this October.
