September 9, 2005. Consul General Peter Bodde underscored German-American cultural ties in his remarks at the opening of the Adolf Cluss exhibit in Heilbronn on September 9. Cluss (1825-1905), 1848 activist born in Heilbronn and the most influential architect in the "Red Brick City" Washington D.C.in the late 19th century, was also honored by former German Foreign Minister Klaus Kinkel, Washington D.C. city council member Sharon Ambrose, Heilbronn Lord Mayor Helmut Himmelsbach, as well as senior representatives from the Heilbronn City Archive and the Goethe Institute Washington D.C.
