Roundtable on U.S. Elections at Hesse State Chancellery
September 17, 2008. Prof. Edwina Campbell, Ph.D., of Maxwell Airforce University, Montgomery, Alabama, participated in a breakfast roundtable on the dynamics of the U.S. elections at the Hesse State Chancellary in Wiesbaden. Campbell was able to present fresh perspectives on the ongoing campaign by placing it in the context of past elections, especially concerning the role of foreign policy as a campaign issue. Professionally involved in military leadership training, she drew her interlocutors’ attention to a new focus and mentality among the younger generation of U.S military officers who no longer had any Cold War experience gathered in Europe.
