October 12, 2005. At the initiative of band leader Dale King, a Marburg-based American citizen, the blues artists Chris Paulson, Matchbox Bluesband, Dirk Hess & Bernie Batke and the Dale King Blues Band performed for the benefit of New Orleans musicians suffering from hurricane Katrina at the Blues&Beyond in Frankfurt on October 12. Vice Consul Michael Greer from the U.S. Consulate General thanked the musicians for their initiative and the audience for their support. As a result of this event, donations in the amount of $1,160 will be transferred to the New Orleans Musicians Hurricane Relief Fund. (Photos: Detlef Schmidt) |
