ESTA Facilitates Visa Free Travel to the U.S.
December 17, 2008. On December 17th, the U.S. Consulate General organized a press briefing on the Electronic System for Travel Authorizationc (ESTA).  Minister Counselor for Consular Affairs David C. Stewart explained the ESTA process and provided background information on visa free travel.  The journalists learned how easy it is to fill out the ESTA application and how quick it was appoved.  One-on-one interviews with MC Stewart and the attending journalists followed. Starting January 12th, 2009, all international travelers seeking to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program are required to fill out the ESTA forms before their travel.
