Trade Policy Under the New U.S. Administration

Prof. Susan Aaronson of The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University gave a lecture on “The Impact of the World Economic and Financial Crisis on International Trade” at a dinner hosted jointly by the American-German Business Club Karlsruhe and the U.S. Consulate General Frankfurt in Ettlingen. Addressing representatives of the business community in the Karlsruhe region, Aaronson emphasized the importance of international trade for an economic recovery and called on her interlocutors to support a transatlantic free-trade policy, particularly during the current global economic crisis.
